How We Got Started
After nearly a decade on the other side of the desk helping clients navigate the home buying process, we kept seeing the same pattern. Renters, not just buyers, were being shut out by rigid corporate screening algorithms that rejected otherwise great people for a low credit score, an old broken lease, or a past charge on their record.
We realized the standard apartment hunting process was deeply flawed for anyone with a less-than-perfect history. So we stepped out on our own to become advocates for renters who needed a fresh start. What began at a kitchen table in Texas grew quickly through word of mouth as clients told others about our ability to help across a wide range of credit, rental, and background situations.
Today, Fort Worth Second Chance Apartments has placed 845+ renters by building genuine relationships with independent landlords and sympathetic property managers across Tarrant County.
